Agri Farm Services, Seed Division was established in April, 2004 and was granted the status of a registered seed company by Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Live Stock, Government of Pakistan in May, 2004. For the first two years, cotton and wheat seeds were marketed under the brand name “Sitara Seeds”. Some other crop seeds were also produced through R&D work. With the expansion of seed business, Agri Farm Seed Division was turned into an independent seed company in April, 2006 under the name of “Sitara Seed” as a member of Aziz-Group.

Today, Sitara Seed Company deals with innovative R&D work producing seeds of different varieties of cotton, wheat, rice, peas, okra, Berseem and hybrid corn, sunflower and forage sorghum. Company has several national research collaboration like CAMB, CRDC, Oil Seed Research Institute Faisalabad & NARC and international research collaboration with several well-reputed companies of USA, China, Serbia, Turkey and India lending an access to the best germ plasm for corn, sunflower, rice, peas, sorghum and vegetables.
